The
Federation has coped with problems of every sort of community development
and enhancement, both small and large. In 1990 the South East Transport
Forum (SETFOR) was initiated. This forum met regularly with similar bodies
in the South East Region until 1998, when it was wound up as Government
policy was by then reflecting SETFOR ideas.
It maintains links
with national, county and district authorities and is called on for
comment and views. It is a member of the Civic Voice, has ties with the
Campaign to Protect Rural England and has working relationships with
like-minded organisations in neighbouring counties. A list of useful
